Accident injures worker at Atlas Tube

Investigators are looking into an incident at Atlas Tube in which a worker was injured.

The Ontario Ministry of Labour has confirmed to BlackburnNewsWindsor.com that an incident occurred at Atlas Tube's Harrow facility around 11 a.m. Thursday. Ministry spokesperson Janet DeLine said the company contacted the Ministry, as per procedure. Atlas Tube's manufacturing facility is located on Clark Street near Roseborough Road.

"It was reported that a worker was injured while loading a bundle of steel tube on a trailer," DeLine said. "A Ministry of Labour inspector has been assigned and is en route."

Ontario Provincial Police also saiud they attended the incident, but no additional details have been provided as to the condition or identity of the employee.

The Ministry said the investigation is ongoing and more details will be provided as they become available.
