Westbound E.C. Row Exwy to close Monday night

Drivers out Monday night might want to find another route if they were planning on taking the E.C. Row Expressway to get across the city.

The westbound lanes will close between Dougall Avenue and Dominion Boulevard at 8 p.m.

All westbound traffic will have to exit at Dougall Avenue, and the on-ramp to the E.C. Row will be closed.

The lanes will reopen at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

If the weather is poor, the City of Windsor said the work would go on Tuesday night instead, but the forecast only calls for a 30 per cent chance of rain overnight.

Starting Tuesday, there will be a series of rolling lane closures as crews clean the centre median and the south shoulder.

Those will start at Huron Church Road and move east to Banwell road, where the crews will start cleaning the north shoulder working westward.

There will be a series of rolling lane closures to watch for over the next few weeks on the EC Row Expressway.

That is expected to finish on November 22.
