Caesars supports Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation

The Windsor Cancer Centre will be able to buy an important piece of diagnostic equipment thanks to a donation from Caesars Windsor.

The donation will go toward the purchase of a new Endobronchial Ultrasound or an EBUS used to diagnose lung cancer.

"We have one currently, it's old and it's often down for repair so it's a much-needed piece of equipment for diagnostics," said Monica Staley Liang with the cancer centre.

Caesars Windsor donates $1 from every ticket sale in October and November to local non-profit cancer-related organizations.

"Certainly cancer is one that resonates, I mean everybody is touched by it whether they've had a battle on their own or a family member or a co-worker. They've been a great partner, they do great work here so this was a pretty easy one," said Kevin Laforet, regional president of Caesars Entertainment.

To date, Caesars has donated $140,000 through Concerts for a Cure.
