Accidental house fire causes $100K in damages

A space heater is getting the blame for a house fire in Windsor.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service responded to the blaze on Elsmere Avenue near Vimy Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Fire officials said the fire was accidental and was caused by a space heater that ignited nearby combustibles.

Damage caused by the fire is estimated at around $100,000.
