UPDATE: Highway 401 reopened near Manning Road

The westbound lanes of Highway 401 in Tecumseh have been reopened at Manning Road following a collision.

According to the OPP, two tractor-trailers collided around 5:20 a.m. Saturday morning. The roadway was closed for over six hours while police investigated and cleared debris from the scene.

The crash sent one truck driver to the hospital with minor injuries. There is no word on charges at this time.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
