Police investigating after pedestrian struck

One person has been taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in West Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service said the pedestrian was struck on Huron Church Road at Malden Road on Friday at around 6:30 p.m.

The adult pedestrian, whose gender has not been released, was taken to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Southbound traffic on Huron Church was diverted onto Malden while police were at the scene, but the road has since been cleared.

Police said an investigation is ongoing and it is unknown at this time if any charges will be laid.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
