Second phase of Bright Lights Windsor set up begins

There will be a few restrictions in the area as the Bright Lights Windsor winter festival preparations continue.

Jackson Park's parking lot off of Tecumseh Road will be closed starting on Monday in preparation for the vendor market. There will be parking available on the south side of the park near the lawn bowling/tennis club.

The perimeter of the event area will be enclosed with perimeter fencing on Monday.

Access to the park from the gates at the intersection of Ouellette and Tecumseh will also be closed.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
