OPP seek suspect in Lakeshore attack

Ontario Provincial Police are looking into an assault in Lakeshore.

Police, along with Essex-Windsor EMS paramedics, arrived around 5:30 a.m. Monday to a home on Mill Street near the Puce Marina. When they arrived, they found a 21-year-old man suffering serious injuries consistent with an edged weapon. He is being treated at a local hospital.

A dark-coloured sedan was seen leaving the area around the time of the incident, according to OPP Constable Jim Root.

The OPP are asking that if anyone has any information regarding the vehicle or anything else that can help them in the investigation, to give them their Essex County Major Crimes Unit a call at (519) 723-4291. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) to be eligible for a cash reward.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
