Alleged impaired driver crashes into tree

A Lakeshore man is facing impaired driving charges after crashing into a tree early Wednesday morning.

The Ontario Provincial Police were called to a home on Brighton Road around 2:30 a.m. by a resident who reported the crash on their property.

Robert Troup, 20, of Lakeshore was arrested and charged with driving while impaired. He will appear in court in December.

The accused's driver's licence has been suspended and his vehicle impounded.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
