Fentanyl, methamphetamine seizure leads to charges

A 36-year-old Windsor woman has been accused of possessing and selling dangerous drugs.

Windsor police said it was in the midst of an active investigation on Wednesday when a residence and suspect were identified. With the help of its Emergency Services Unit, a woman was arrested around 2:30 p.m. in the area of Tecumseh Mall. A quantity of suspected illegal drugs and cash were found on the woman.

A warrant was obtained to search a home on Ellrose Avenue near Guy Street, where some ammunition was found and confiscated.

Chasidy Hastings is charged with four counts of breach of recognizance, plus one count each of possession of fentanyl and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

These charges have yet to be proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
