OPP seize drugs from Leamington home

A Leamington woman is facing drug charges after the Ontario Provincial Police conducted a search warrant this week.

On Thursday, the OPP Community Street Crime Unit along with the K9 unit searched a home on Talbot Street East in Leamington. They seized quantities of cocaine, crystal methamphetamine and drug-related paraphernalia.

Michelle Moody, 48, was arrested and charged with possession and possession with the purpose of trafficking.

None of the allegations have been proven in court. She will appear in court in January.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
