Deadline for Leamington residents to replace water meters fast approaching

Residents in Leamington have one week left to make an appointment to replace their water meters or risk having their water service disconnected.

The Municipality of Leamington started the mandatory replacement program in January 2019.

The municipality says the new meters will give more accurate readings, decrease water loss and provide better customer service.

More than 90 per cent of residents have already complied with the mandatory program.

If a resident has not replaced their meter they are asked to make an appointment with KTI Limited by December 1, 2019. Appointments can be made online or by calling 1-833-543-8807. Installation of the new meter takes around 30-45 minutes. Appointments are available Monday through Saturday. The municipality is aiming to complete all installations by the end of 2019.
