Spitfires beat Attack in OT

The Windsor Spitfires have snatched a win from Owen Sound after beating the Attack 4-3 in overtime on Sunday.

Jean-Luc Foudy scored the winning goal for Windsor 3:56 in overtime.

The Attack and Spits were back and forth with goals in the first two periods. Owen Sound's Kaleb Pearson scored the first goal of the game 6:25 in the first. Connor Corcoran put Windsor on the board.

In the second period, Tyler Angle got a goal for Windsor with Will Cuylle and Ruben Rafkin getting the assists. Cole Purboo scored for the Spits 19:04 in the second with an assist from Curtis Douglas. The second period ended with a 3-3 tie, which eventually lead the two teams into overtime.

Windsor goaltender Kari Piiroinen made 33 saves of 36 shots.

The Spitfires will be in London on Friday to face the Knights.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
