Suspects sought in violent home invasion

Windsor police are looking for suspects involved in a violent home invasion last week.

On Thursday around 3:15 p.m., police were called to a home on Francois Road for a break and enter in progress. Investigators believe three suspects entered the home while wearing balaclavas. One suspect had a sawed-off shotgun while another had a handgun. The suspects fled the area in a white Chevrolet Impala.

After the incident, an adult male victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police do not believe this was a random incident. They say there is no direct threat to public safety.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
