Active police investigation underway

A person is in custody after police investigated a report of a person possibly in possession of a firearm.

Windsor police attended a residence on Marentette Avenue near Shepherd Street just after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and asked the public to avoid the area.

Around 4:30 p.m. police reported that the incident was "safely resolved."

The matter remains under active investigation.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
