Charges laid after air gun incident

Two people are facing charges after allegedly shooting an air gun in South Windsor Sunday.

Windsor police say they were called to an address on Division Road near Walker Road around noon for a report of a possible firearm. They say two people attended the address by car. One person knocked on a door while the driver stayed in the vehicle. When no one answered, the passenger returned to the car. Soon after the driver pulled out what appeared to be a handgun and shot the weapon toward the involved address.

The suspects took off in their vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Police identified the suspects and attended a home on Hall Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Sunday and two suspects were arrested. An adult male from Windsor and an adult female of no fixed address both face charges of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.

Windsor police say they are not naming the accused to protect the identity of the victim.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
