Windsor police lay charges after break and enter

A Windsor man is facing multiple charges after a break and enter on Wednesday.

Police were called to the area of Walker Road and Seneca Street for a theft in progress at around 3:15 p.m. The suspect allegedly stole property from a vacant business and fled the area on a bicycle. There was extensive damage to the property done during the break and enter.

Officers were able to locate the suspect en route to the business and he was arrested without incident.

Justin Mcilroy, 25, is charged with break and enter, mischief under $5,000, and possession of property obtained by crime.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
