Section of I-75 shuts down over the weekend

Work on the Michigan Interchange to the new Gordie Howe International Bridge will impact drivers on the I-75 this weekend.

The highway will close in both directions between Springwells Street and Clark Street at 11 p.m. Friday and reopen Monday at 5 a.m.

During the shutdown, traffic can continue to exit northbound I-75 at Springwells and enter the highway again at Clark Street. Alternately, southbound traffic will leave the road at Clark and re-enter at Springwells.

West Fisher Service Drives between Springwells and Clark will remain open all weekend.

Traffic exiting the Ambassador Bridge headed for Toledo will take the I-96 west to I-275 south to connect with southbound I-75.
