DIGS investigation leads to charges

Two people are facing charges after an investigation by the Windsor Police Service Drugs and Guns unit.

On Wednesday, police arrested the 48-year-old man in the area of University Avenue and Bruce Avenue.

As part of the investigation, a residence on Wyandotte Street near Church Street was searched. A woman was found inside and arrested.

Police seized a number of illicit drugs, Canadian money and two imitation firearms.

Kevin Lansing is facing charges of possession with the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine and possession of fentanyl, oxycodone, methylphenidate, morphine and hydromorphone.

Tammy Whitmore, 58, is charged with possession with the purpose of trafficking- methamphetamine and possession of fentanyl, oxycodone, methylphenidate, morphine and hydromorphone.

None of the charges have been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
