Police recover stolen vehicle

Windsor police recovered a stolen vehicle Monday after noticing the front and rear license plates of the vehicle did not match.

The officers noticed the white Nissan in a parking lot in the area of Tecumseh Road and McDougall Street. A female driver and male passenger were inside. Police confirmed the car was stolen on October 22, 2019, from St. Etienne Boulevard. At the time it was stolen the car was green but had since been repainted.

Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested without incident.

A number of drugs and identity documents were seized from the female driver upon her arrest.

Maureen Mooney, 42, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime, taking an auto without consent, possession of crystal methamphetamine and fentanyl, unlawfully possessing identity documents, and breach of probation.

The passenger, Kyle Crawford, is charged with possessing property obtained by crime.

None of the charges have been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
