Police seek witnesses to hit and run

The Ontario Provincial Police are looking for witnesses after a teenager was struck by a car in Kingsville Friday night.

Police say the young woman was crossing King Street around 8 p.m. when she was struck by a vehicle turning left from Division Road.

The girl fell to the ground and the driver of the involved vehicle stopped briefly but then drove away without helping the woman. The pedestrian called her family, who brought her to the hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.

The vehicle involved was a white SUV possibly a Ford Explorer. The victim told police the driver was male and there was one passenger in the vehicle.

The OPP asks that anyone who can assist in identifying the vehicle or driver involved in this collision, contact them at the Kingsville Detachment at 519-733-2345.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
