Windsor's outdoor rinks open for skaters

It's time to lace up your skates! The ice is ready at two outdoor skating rinks in Windsor.

The City of Windsor has completed preparations at both the Charles Clark Square and Lanspeary Lions outdoor rinks.

Weather permitting, Charles Clark square is open Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. During the holidays, from December 21-January 5, the rink will operate on weekend hours. Although, it will close early, at 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

At Lanspeary Lions Outdoor Rink free public skates are offered every Wednesday to Friday from 4-5 p.m. and on Sundays from 1-3 p.m. The rink is also available to rent through the City of Windsor recreation webpage.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
