Layoff scheduled for Windsor Assembly Plant

Employees at the Windsor Assembly Plant can expect to be off work for a few days later this month.

According to a post on Unifor Local 444's Twitter page Friday night, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles notified them that the plant will be laid off the week of January 20.

Unifor did not provide any further details or a reason for the layoff.

The plant employs more than 6,000 workers.
