FCA extends shutdown at Windsor Assembly Plant

Unifor Local 444 is informing its members at the Windsor Assembly Plant they will be off the job longer than first thought this month.

On Twitter Wednesday morning, the union said the plant would shut down next week, the week of January 13, and the week of January 20.

Last week, the workers were told they would be laid off temporarily the week of January 20.

Windsor Assembly employs 6,000 workers.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
