Suspect arrested, stolen property returned

A suspect has been arrested and stolen merchandise returned after a break and enter investigation by Windsor police.

A business on Ouellette Avenue was broken into around 7:30 a.m. Sunday. Police obtained a surveillance video of the crime and got a description of the suspect.

Around 3:30 p.m. Monday officers observed the suspect walking in the area of Ouellette Avenue and Wyandotte Street E. The suspect was arrested without incident. An item allegedly taken during the break and enter was found on the suspect at the time of his arrest. Officers were able to return the property to the owner.

Alexander McFarland, 32, is charged with break and enter, theft and possession of stolen property under $5,000.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
