Gun, ammunition taken in Windsor hold-up

Windsor police are asking for help in finding a man suspected of taking guns and ammunition from a business.

The incident occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. Thursday on Walker Road south of Division Road, but the crime was not reported until the following morning. Police learned that two firearms and ammunition were taken during a theft at the location. Investigators believe the suspect left the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid to late 20s with an average build, sunken cheeks, and large ears. He was wearing an all-black Detroit Tigers baseball hat with a shiny sticker on the brim, a black jacket with a black fur-trimmed hood, black pants, white Nike running shoes, and black gloves.  He may have a dark marking on the right side of his mouth and under his right eye.

Anyone who knows who the suspect is, or with any information, is asked to call Windsor police at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4350. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
