Police seek suspect in knifepoint robbery

Windsor police are looking for a suspect involved in a knifepoint robbery over the weekend.

Around 11:30 p.m. Friday, officers were called to a restaurant at the corner of Lauzon Road and Edgar Street for a report of a robbery. Employees reported a male suspect entered the restaurant, brandished a knife, and demanded money. The suspect stole some cash and ran off.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6'0" tall. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a dark coloured mask, a greyish plaid jacket, and jeans at the time of the robbery.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
