UPDATE: House fire causes $100K in damage

A house fire on Windsor's west side has caused $100,000 in damage.

Windsor Fire and Rescue crews were called shortly before 12:30 p.m. Thursday to a home on Curry Avenue near Tecumseh Road West. In a tweet, the fire department asked people to stay out of the area.

Several minutes later, another tweet declared the fire out.

There were no reports of injuries. Investigators were not able to determine a specific cause for the fire.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
