Lakeshore man dies of injuries a month after crash

The Ontario Provincial Police report an 80-year-old man who was hurt in a crash last month has died of his injuries.

Thomas Hayes was a passenger in a sport utility vehicle that collided with a minivan on County Road 46 and Rochester Town Line back on January 15.

Hayes, along with the driver of the SUV and the other driver were all taken to the hospital.

Police said 21-year-old Victoria Preston of Lakeshore faces a charge of careless driving causing death.

She will be in a Windsor court on March 30.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
