Police seek suspects in armed Windsor drugstore robbery

Windsor police are looking for help to identify two suspects after a local pharmacy was robbed at gunpoint.

It happened shortly before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at a drugstore on Dougall Avenue near West Grand Boulevard. Witnesses told police that the pair walked into the pharmacy, then demanded money and prescription drugs. One of the suspects was carrying a handgun.

The pair fled the business with an undisclosed amount of cash and medication. Nobody was hurt.

The Major Crimes Branch has obtained photos of the suspects from the drugstore's security system, which are seen below. The first suspect, on the left, is described as a white male, 5'6" to 5'8" tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, grey gloves, grey mask with a white design, blue jeans, a white strap hanging out of a back pocket, and white shoes with a black stripe on the heel.  This suspect was armed with a black handgun.

The second suspect, on the right, is described as a white male, also 5'6" to 5'8" tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with "NBA" on the back neck area, a black mask with a white logo, a white t-shirt under the sweater, dark pants, and black shoes.

Police are urging people not to approach the suspects directly since they are considered armed and dangerous. If you recognize either of these men, call 911 immediately.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
