(BlackburnNews.com file photo)A 27-year-old Essex man will have to make a court appearance after the Ontario Provincial Police pulled over a vehicle they clocked going 140 kilometres per hour in an 80 km/h zone.
The vehicle was pulled over Tuesday around 7:30 p.m. on County Road 20 West in Kingsville.
Kyle Bondy faces a street racing charge and a count of not holding a valid license.
The charges have not been proven in court.
Police impounded the vehicle for seven days.
SPS Board Chair Kelly Ash said the decision followed discussions with Acting Chief Mike Federico and aligns with practices at other police services.
The annual Canada Day parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, from Wildwood Park to Kenwick Park.
