Four-vehicle collision sends several people to hospital

An alleged drunk driver is getting the blame for a four-car collision at the intersection of Walker Road and South Talbot Road Tuesday.

According to the Ontario Provincial Police, around 6 p.m. three vehicles were stopped at a red light at Walker and South Talbot when a fourth car slammed into one of the vehicles sending it into the others.

Several people involved in the crash were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

OPP said the driver of the fourth vehicle was showing signs of impairment.

Michael Caille, 25, is charged with impaired driving by alcohol or drug and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus. None of the charges have been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
