OPP investigate after vehicle hits tree in Essex

The Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a crash on the 3rd Concession west of County Road 23 in Essex.

Police say a vehicle left the road around 7 a.m. Friday and hit a tree.

The driver suffered non-life threatening injuries but was trapped inside the vehicle.

A 59-year-old resident was taken to the hospital.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
