Spitfires shot down by Generals 2-1

The Windsor Spitfires fell to the Oshawa Generals 2-1 on Sunday.

After a scoreless first period, Oshawa was on the board first 5:08 into second, Will Cuylle scored the Spitfires their first goal to tie the game for the end of the frame.

The first half of the final period saw both teams defensive and eager to break the tie. The Generals added another goal to edge the Spitfires and cap off their win.

Despite the loss, Windsor outshot Oshawa 39-33.

The Spitfires will be back at home for a chance at redemption on Thursday to face the Soo Greyhounds at 7:05 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
