(BlackburnMedia.ca stock photo)Police have located a 10-year-old boy who had gone missing in the Essex area late Friday afternoon.
The Ontario Provincial Police said Eethyn Bawn went missing at around 5 p.m. in the area of Woodview Drive and Joan Flood Drive in Essex. He was believed to be on foot.
At around 8 p.m., police said Bawn has since been located and he is safe.
SPS Board Chair Kelly Ash said the decision followed discussions with Acting Chief Mike Federico and aligns with practices at other police services.
The annual Canada Day parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, from Wildwood Park to Kenwick Park.
