Spitfires crush Frontenacs 10-2

It was one goal after another as the Windsor Spitfires skated past the Kingston Frontenacs 10-2 on Sunday at WFCU Centre.

Jean-Luc Foudy scored the first goal of the afternoon game for Windsor, followed by one from Curtis Douglas during a power play. The Frontenacs were able to get two goals past the Spitfires during the first period. However, that tie was short-lived as Daniel D'Amico scored for Windsor, giving them a 3-2 lead heading into the second.

Will Cuylle scored during a power play with assists from Foudy and Wyatt Johnston. Two more goals in the second were by Tyler Angle and Johnston.

Foudy came back in the third with another goal for the Spitfires, followed by one from Egor Afanasyev during a power play. Foudy later assisted in a goal made by Cuylle. Ruben Rafkin scored the final goal of the game for the Spitfires as they ended a successful weekend. Just 24 hours prior to Sunday's game, the Spitfires beat the Guelph Storm 6-3.

Windsor goaltender Xavier Medina made 34 saved of 36 shots on net.

The Spitfires will get a few days to rest before hosting the Owen Sound Attack on Thursday night at WFCU Centre. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m.
