OPP investigate fatal crash near Leamington

The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a 'serious' collision that happened outside of Leamington on Saturday afternoon.

Essex-Windsor first responders attended the scene at the intersection of County Road 34 and County Road 21 around 2 p.m. Saturday. OPP have reported on Twitter that there was at least one fatality as a result of the incident. No other details including injuries or number of people involved has been released.

The OPPs Technical Collision Investigation unit has closed County Road 34 between County Road 21 and County Road 37 until an investigation is completed. The roadway was closed for over 14 hours while police investigated.
