An assortment of weapons taken during a break and enter in Amherstburg has been recovered.

It happened on the night of April 3 at a home on Walker Road near Gesto Road. Officers from the Windsor police's Amherstburg detachment arrived at the residence and found that the burglar had already left. An unspecified number of weapons were taken from the home.

Police reported Tuesday afternoon that the weapons taken from the home have now been found.

A 22-year-old Windsor man, identified by police as Al Wassi Al-Latif, faces several break-and-enter and theft charges. These charges have yet to be proven in court.

The investigation is ongoing.
