Erie Summer Transit suspended in Leamington

The Municipality of Leamington has suspended its Erie Summer Transit Route until further notice.

It was launched back in 2016 so tourists could travel easily from Uptown Leamington to the waterfront during the summer months, but this year, the service will have to wait until social distancing measures are relaxed.

Many tourist attractions and businesses have shut down under emergency orders from the Ontario government during the pandemic.

It was supposed to start running on the Friday before Victoria Day.

Leamington Transit will continue regular operations within the urban area of Leamington.
