Heavy police presence in Tecumseh

A significant presence of Essex County provincial police was seen patrolling some streets in Tecumseh on Sunday.

OPP advised residents on Twitter that officers would be in the areas of Riverside Dr. and Tecumseh Rd. as well as Manning Rd. and Banwell Rd. to conduct an "ongoing investigation" that began shortly after 11 a.m.

Police provided an update just before 2 p.m. stating they had cleared the scene. Few details have been provided. OPP say there is no threat to public safety.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
