Electrical failure blamed for fire in east Windsor

Two people have been displaced after a fire broke out in an east Windsor home.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service first reported the house fire on Osborn Crescent off of Asgard Road, shortly before 4 p.m. on Monday.

Fire officials said the blaze started in the lower level of the home and was caused when a sauna suffered electrical failure.

No one was injured in the fire and damage is estimated at around $75,000.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
