Charges laid in stabbing

A Windsor man is facing charges after a stabbing in central Windsor Monday.

Windsor police were called to a home on Chandler Road near Tecumseh Road around 6 p.m. for a report of a possible stabbing. Officers found an adult man with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A suspect was quickly located in the area and was arrested without incident.

Police said the suspect and the victim are known to each other. They believe the incident started with a verbal fight at the home. The victim was stabbed multiple times. The knife was seized during the investigation.

Robert Patterson, 35, of Windsor is charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault. The charges have not been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
