UPDATE: Electrical failure caused West Windsor fire

Windsor Fire Investigators have determined that electrical failure was the cause of a fire on the city's west end.

The fire at a two-storey building started around 3 a.m. Thursday on Sandwich Street at Mill Street.

It was under control an hour later, and out by 5 a.m.

Windsor Fire and Rescue Services said no one was hurt.

The fire caused around $350,000 in damage.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
