Suspect in gunfire investigation arrested

Windsor police have arrested a suspect in relation to gunfire heard in the area of Elm Avenue and University Avenue West on Saturday.

Officers responded around 10:30 p.m. to the area where a citizen told them they heard gunfire and saw a car fleeing the area.

They did not find any evidence of gunfire at first, but later found out that a man was following a car that had two people he knew inside. When the people got out of their vehicle, the man drove past and fired shots at them. A bullet hole was found in the victim's car.

Police identified a suspect and he was arrested on Tuesday in the area of Park Street West and Bruce Avenue. They did not recover a gun.

Macao Blythe, 20, is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, pointing a firearm, assault with a weapon, and possession of a dangerous weapon.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
