Investigation continues after body found in Detroit River

Windsor police have confirmed a body was found Sunday morning in the Detroit River.

The body was recovered in the area of Ouellette Avenue around 10 a.m.

Police have been looking for a man who went into the river back on May 24 but can not confirm if it is the same person.

Investigators are still trying to confirm the identity of the body and notify the next of kin.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
