Former Windsor cop charged in sexual assault

A former Windsor police officer is facing a sexual assault charge stemming from an incident in 2016.

The sexual assault complaint was made in May of this year but the incident took place in February of 2016 while the officer was off-duty. It's alleged that the officer sexually assaulted the victim, whom he knew, in a home in Windsor.

The Major Crimes Branch investigated and determined there was enough evidence to file a criminal charge.

On May 8, 2020 police arrested Mark Stock, 54, and charged him with one count of sexual assault. Stock was a member of the Windsor Police Service from January of 1987 to January of 2017.
