WECHU reports 14 new COVID-19 cases

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit is reporting an additional 14 cases of COVID-19 Wednesday morning.

The health unit has confirmed six cases are linked to the agri-farm sector. Two more people were infected in the community, and six are still under investigation.

Of the total 1,238 cases, 67 people have died, and 58 percent or 721 people have recovered.

There are currently outbreaks at two long-term care facilities and eight workplaces.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
