The statement was issued Saturday afternoon as a result of the hot and humid weather conditions. However, the air quality statement ended around 8:55 p.m. as elevated pollution levels were "no longer expected or have moved out of the area".
A heat warning remains in effect.
Residents are reminded to limit strenuous outdoor activities when air quality statements are in effect.
