Leamington OPP investigating robbery

Provincial police in Essex County are looking for a suspect involved in a robbery in Leamington on Tuesday.

Police were called to a convenience store on Seacliff Drive West around 3:45 am.

The clerk reported a woman entered the store, selected some items, and came up to the front counter where she passed over a note. The woman took out a weapon during the altercation. She left the store with a small amount of cash and other merchandise.

She was last seen leaving the area on foot.

The suspect is described as a white female, around 5'3" tall. She was wearing a white hooded sweater, a red face covering, dark pants, and a camouflaged backpack.

The OPP Leamington Major Crime Unit is asking that anyone with information in relation to this crime or the individual involved, contact them immediately at 519-326-2544.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
