Windsor's second cannabis store now open

Windsorites now have another option to purchase legal, recreational cannabis.

Shiny Bud, a Toronto-based cannabis retailer, opens its first location outside of the GTA on Wednesday, in Windsor. The city's second licenced brick-and-mortar pot store is located on Tecumseh Road East, across from Tecumseh Mall.

The store will feature a variety of legal cannabis and cannabis-related products, along with accessories and other goods. It will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

"With 3,000 square feet of floor space and brands like Redecan, Gage, Daily Special, Color, and Tantalus Labs, we have something for everyone and can’t wait to answer questions from our customers," said Windsor store manager Earl Exaltacion.

Shiny Bud recently received approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) to open a physical store in Windsor. The city's first store, J. Supply, opened on Ouellette Avenue in March. They are also planning to open a store in Cornwall.

According to the AGCO, 20 applications have been filed to open physical cannabis stores within the city of Windsor as of Tuesday.
